Loan Officer Assistant

**Position Overview:**

 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our Mortgage Loan Officers by ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of loan applications, from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mortgage products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

– Assist in the preparation and organization of documentation required for loan processing, including collecting necessary information from clients.

– Provide administrative support to Mortgage Loan Officers, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing email correspondence.

– Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with company policy and regulatory requirements.

– Coordinate with underwriters, appraisers, and other external parties to obtain necessary documentation and resolve issues.

– Keep clients informed on the status of their loan applications, providing high-quality customer service and timely updates.

– Maintain and update loan files and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

– Assist in identifying and resolving potential problems in loan files that could hinder approval processes.

– Support the Loan Officer in marketing efforts, including preparing marketing materials and follow-up with potential clients.

– Conduct preliminary loan application interviews with clients when necessary.

– Stay updated on changes in lending standards, legal requirements, and company policies.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

– High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

– Previous experience in a loan processing or administrative support role within the mortgage industry is highly desirable.

– Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, underwriting procedures, and regulatory requirements.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software.

– Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

– Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

– Must be a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.
